Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO)

Virgin Coconut Oil is the clear oil extracted from fresh coconut meat with a special mechanical process, without removing the existing natural coconut scent. No chemicals were added during the processing. In other words, virgin coconut oil is non-RBD/non-refined oil. VCO is more widely used for health, care and beauty products.

RBD Coconut Oil

RBD Coconut Oil stands for refined, bleached and deodorized coconut oil obtained from crude coconut oil which has been refined by neutralization with alkali, bleached with bleaching earth or activated car- bon or both and deodorized with steam; no other chemical agents being used.


Crude Coconut Oil

Crude Coconut Oil or CNO, in short, is commonly known as "industrial grade oil." Originally, CNO is a high end-product that comes from the process of oil extraction from Copra. Oil extraction requires the use of pressure and heat. The purpose is to refine and eliminate impurities as well as contaminants. After the extraction, the Copra can achieve the appropriate moisture content, which is 6-8%.

Coconut Fatty Acid Distillate (CFAD) A by-product of refining of coconut oil, CFAD is used in the manufacture of detergents and paints. May be converted to mono- and diacylglycerol (M-DAG) by reacting it with glycerol in the presence of a catalyst.
